PROVEN STEPS

TO WRITING A

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SONG

7

  • Fresh Songs That Fit Right

Finally... a practical step by step process for actually writing a Worship Song!  Not just inspiration, but turning inspiration into a real song that works!  Not just 'how someone else does it', but a clear path to 'how you can do it'.  Not only about 'listening' to the Holy Spirit',  but how to ACT on what the Holy Spirit tells you with easy-to-follow steps,  and turn that spiritual inspiration into something tangible!

  • Been To All The Conferences

... and came back inspired but with no idea how to make it work for you ?

  • A Song In Your Heart ?

... but couldn't find the way to bring it out into a song others could sing ?

  • Did all the right things

...yet something was missing in your congregational worship experience?

Over my many years in the circles of Worship Music, Mainstream Music and Education, I've noticed something missing in the area of learning how to write a worship song:

  • There are a lot of conferences with motivational and inspirational teaching styles, but they miss the practical tools or easy-to-follow steps that you can use when you get back home

  • A lot of resources teach how the teacher writes songs, but they don't work with how you write songs

  • Many resources exist as a one-off product, seminar or workshop, but they don't provide the opportunity for guidance and support over as long as it takes for you to write a song

  • There are many talented and 'celebrity' type songwriters who can write great songs, but they are not equipped, studied or gifted in teaching you how to write a song

  • Many resources tell you about writing a song, but they don't actually 'get in there' and help you write a song from start to finish

  • There are topics like Worship Team Training or Songwriting, but they don't teach you how to write a song with your worship team as a way to build, train and motivate everyone involved, including the congregation!

Mark Wilkinson

“Working with Paul was a fantastic experience. He possesses all the skills necessary to create incredible music. He is equally adept as a songwriter or as a producer. As a songwriter he has a great ear for both melody and lyrics and as a producer he knows how to treat and draw the best out of a song.”

“He (Paul) made me feel really comfortable and allowed me to be myself whilst also bringing out the best in me. He taught me a great deal about songwriting/production and I took a lot away from our time together.. I look forward to working with him again in the future.”
